Youth & Family Services Officer – 28-35 Hours Per Week

We’re looking for a passionate Youth & Family Services Officer to join our Reconnect project. 
Reconnect, is our longest and most well-established service and the primary aim is to keep young people connected with family, education, their community, and to ultimately prevent homelessness.

We deliver accessible and culturally appropriate support to young people and their families through case management (practical support and assistance), counselling, group support, outreach, and advocacy.

Project Worker – 28-35 Hours Per Week

We’re looking for a passionate Project Worker to achieve objectives of our community development projects; the common goal being to improve social cohesion, participation, engagement & development of young people. For this role, the over-all goal is to implement the Domestic & Family Violence project which is an innovative social change project which aims to impact on knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of young people in a positive way .

Peer Educators

ReThink! Youth Anti Violence Project

We’re looking for young people to be trained as Peer Educators to increase knowledge & understanding of Domestic & Family Violence amongst other young people.

If you’re aged between 14-18, from a culturally diverse background, live in the Georges River/Bayside area and are interested in making a difference on domestic and family violence, this role is for you. 

What’s involved?

  • Undertake Peer Educator training
  • Brainstorm and develop innovative strategies of addressing DFV
  • Take action to address the lack of knowledge and understanding about DFV
  • Educate peers about respectful relationships, raise awareness and influence attitudes around DFV
  • Create and hold interactive workshops and events

Training and support is provided and the role is paid.
